Canvas 2 ~Niji Iro no Sketch~
Genre:Romance, Harem, Lolicon(She is 16 he is 22)
Episodes:24 (24 minutes each)
Rating:9.3
Plot:This anime focuses on the life of teachers and students at Nadesico Academy. Both at school and there private lifes. The main character in the story is named Kamikura Hiroki who lives with his younger cousin Housen Elis, who is also a main character in this story. Hiroki is trying to become an art teacher while trying to take care of Elis since her parent died in a car crash. When Kikyou Kiri, Hiroki’s childhood friend, comes to teach at the school problems begin to start and for Hiroki to decide which girl he has the most feelings for.
I enjoyed this anime. Its has some interesting conflicts like Elis being afraid of using red. Theres also the problem in which Hiroki is becoming an art teacher but hasnt drawn since his childhood. This anime shows what true love is wether that be real true love or friendship love. I find this anime wasnt really lolicon or harem. It seems to me to be a typical life of a teacher and student growing up finishing school and becoming a teacher with real life problems. I also enjoy how this anime ends. It shows the power of love conquers all fears and shows a persons true nature.
Characters:

Kamikura Hiroki is the main character in this series. He is the older cousin of Elis as well as her guardian. At this time in story he is trying to become an art teacher. Earlier in his childhood, he was the art prodigy at the school. During high school, he was good friends with Kiri and Yanagi. But when Kiri confessed that she loved Hiroki, he turned her down even though he had feelings for her because he knew that Yanagi loved her to and didnt want there friendship to end. But Yanagi didnt know Hiroki turned her down and stole Hiroki’s art composition which is the most horrible thing that can to an artist. This destriyed there friendship leaving Hiroki heartbroken and alone since he had said no to Kiri. Since that time he has taken in Elis. Throughout the series Hiroki struggles with managing his emotions for both Elis and Kiri and ability to paint again. But when he sees Elis painting of red angels, he overcomes his fear and draws….. a pair of blue angels. Kiri invites him over on christmas but instead Hiroki runs as fast as he can to the airpost where Elise is leaving. He gives Elis the painting overcoming his fear and revealing his true feelings for Elis.

Housen Elis is the second main character in this story. At the beginning she is a freshman at Nadesico Academy. Earlier before the series takes place her parents died in a car accident making her the soul survivor and also giving her the fear of red since she see he parents blood all over the place. She wouldnt even eat red vegetables her fear of red was so bad. The fear of red also slowed her potential of painting down heavily. Mid-way through the series Elis develops feelings for Hiroki and confesses to him only to be turned down. He tells her thinks of her as a sister more then anything. After this they start to grow apart making it so Hiroki and Kiri are closer together which upsets Elis. Elis is then offered a scholarship at a university in France. She decides to accept it because she cant deal with her feeling for Hiroki. But at the end Hiroki confesses his true feelings for her making it so she doesnt go.

Kikyou Kiri is the third main character in this story. she is Hiroki’s childhood friend and has had a crush on him since childhood. When she confessed to him she was turned down. It is believed the only reason Kiri took the Physical Education instructor job at Nadesico Academy was because Hiroki was there and she could be close to him again. As the series carries through she works up the courage to say her true feelings again as adults.
